Amazing restaurante. After experiencing several 3 Michelin Star restaurants with mixed experiences, we were extremely pleasantly surprised with Maaemo. The service is excellent, the food is superb and the atmosphere is fantastic. We start by having the appetisers in a relaxed setting in what they call the living room and then we move upstairs in to the restaurant to have the remaining dishes before we have coffee and petit fours in the living room again. In the restaurant setting, we are presented with an open kitchen where the head chef and three cooks prepare and plate all the dishes. The dishes have a well designed and thought flavour palate where every little ingredient complements the other. Truly fantastic. 10/10

One of a kind fabulous experience I had here. There treat you right at home front the time you have arrived. The food flavours of all the courses were unique and exquisite. We had a 17 course meal and there were none that I would like to change anything about.

Sublime food and wine. Even better service and ambiance. A truly special and unforgettable dinner experience.Starts in the lounge with drinks and small bites, each better than the last. LOVED the lamb one in particulars. Incredible champagne.Then you move upstairs to the main dining room. Oysters and scallops and caviar and fish and lamb and more! It was all perfect!!Then you go back to the lounge for desserts and after-dinner drinks.Phenomenal throughout. Plan for a special evening here!!

Truly fantastic food and service from beginning to end. Our first experience with a 3 star restaurant. The personnel were professional, polite, knowledgeable, funny. The atmosphere was serious, yet slightly playful and not stiff and formal. Very pleasant experience. Sometimes challenging to hear what was being explained about the dishes, but no problem asking for a repeat and more details on raw materials and methods. The wine pairing was excellent.We had a small tour in the dining room kitchen and got to say hello to Esben. Visited in week 38.

Service and atmosphere is top notch and very detailed oriented. But we left a little disappointed with the amount of food. Paid 4500 NOK per person but were served very little food (15 diff items) for tasting menu so we left still a little hungry. The appetizers started out amazing with exquisite design & finely curated dishes. Followed by main dishes which were amazing as well. After the main dishes, we were served 1 mind blowing dessert. The staff came and told us that there's plenty more to come so we were very excited for a few more exquisite desserts. We were only served 1 decent small ice cream cones & 2 normal tasting small cinnamon rolls each for the finale. This was a giant disappointment for us and left us wondering if that's really the ending. So the experience started out amazing but ended up very underwhelming for a menu so expensive.

Come here before more ppl find out and it becomes overbooked.One of my favourite fine dining experiences, and if you check out my profile you'll know that's a high bar to clear.Excellent service, fantastic food, overall awesome experience. Came here with friends and we all loved it.Liked most of the dishes, which is difficult for a tasting menu to do. Loved the bread in particular, and the menu looked like there was thought put into making everything cohesive.At this price point and restaurant style you expect great service, interesting dishes, and care put into the dishes i.e. not just phoning it in. Maaemo delivered.They can be flexible with beverage pairings too.Shout out to fradin, Toni, and rest of staff whom I didn't get the names for a wonderful time.

One of the best restaurant ever dined. The staff told us that it was modern Norwehian cuisine. Raw materials were sourced in Norway. The taste was well blended. Good wine pairing. Nice ambience. Excellent services. Friendly staffs.
