The gateway to Bergen, the dock itself is uninspiring concrete and blank buildings. There is the expected security, but it's a cursory check of your cruise card. Outside the gates is the tour bus office, with a line of open top buses ready to take you on an hour round trip, or maybe use the hop on hop off to move around the city. At around £35 a person it's not cheap but if you have the time to make full use of it, it may be a viable investment . The city is a lovely place, clean and busy with buskers on every corner, shopping and dining all around. Be warned, it is not cheap, but have a beer or a coffee and soak up the ambiance! A great, friendly place.
