Julie Hall Sang- og Pianoundervisning

Julie is a fantastic teacher. We worked together during almost a year, and she taught me the basics of how to play the piano, pop music, chords and classical music. She was always willing to adjust the lessons so that I could learn what was driving me the most, and so that I could have fun. Importantly, she always found the right pieces that would push my skills forward. She helped me gain confidence, and every lesson was just great fun and pure joy! She's a talented teacher that cares about her student's progress, she's great!

Superb pianoundervisning. Jeg har gledet meg til hver time, og alltid gått gira derfra, klar til å komme hjem og øve på leksene. Undervisninga har vært variert og effektiv, tuftet på en god blanding av praktisk pedagogikk, elevstyrt input og egne studieerfaringer. Det var null stress da en liten pandemi gjorde at vi måtte ha fjernundervisning via skjerm noen ganger. Jeg lærte like mye uansett. Som pianoelev har jeg kommet overraskende langt på kort tid. Litt cred tar jeg selv, men Julie skal ha mye av æren for det altså. 10/10 would recommend.

Julie's lessons are just great. She combines classical pieces with simple children's songs from Germany and her home Norway and thus offers the ideal access for young and old.I started playing the piano in the my early thirties and did not lose my interest in learning and practicing through Julie's teaching techniques till today.It is really great to have such a teacher as a companion, because you can fulfill your wishes and ideas to 100% with her. She comes highly recommended!

Lea, from Berlin:I asked Julie for help because as a complete beginner I wanted to sing a song at my father's wedding.And it was just great!I never had a singing lesson before, so I had no experience or expectation.Not only did Julie make me start trusting myself and my voice, but she also gave me one hour a week to calm down and concentrate on myself and my body.It's not just singing lessons, it's much more holistic. My whole family is into music and especially singing. It’s what we do on every family event and i always liked it, but i had never singing lessons before. So I decided to give it a try because I always felt like i just do not know how to properly use my voice.So Julie was my first singing teacher but sadly not anymore because she moved away from Berlin. But even if we just had like 7 lessons, for me it feels like I learned so much from her.Her concept of teaching is completely individual for every student, in the first lesson we really worked out my goals and how to approach them. And in every other lesson she always adapted to how I felt and what I’m comfortable with.Her teaching is not „just singing“, she builds a connection between her and her student and works on the whole picture like the breath-work or the connection between body and mind.I’m pretty sad about her going away, but I wish her all the best for her future and can’t recommend her more!

More or less a lifelong musical autodidact, mainly as a guitarist and singer, I took my first instrumental (piano) lessons at the age of 56 with Julie. Our program varied from piano instrumentals to accompaniment of pop songs, including some musicial theory, and I really learned a lot in just a few months. Julie is a very patient and sensitive teacher with a versatile professional background and I had a lot of fun and inspiration for my own musical explorations.Lykke til, Julie!

God og pedagogisk pianolærer!

Takk for kjempelærerike pianotimer, Julie! Før jeg startet med timer hos Julie, lærte jeg meg piano hovedsakelig fra Youtube. Jeg lærte mye piano ved å gjøre dette, men jeg forsto egentlig aldri helt hva jeg spilte. Derfor valgte jeg å ta pianotimer hos Julie. Jeg ville starte vanskelig, men hun startet med nivået back-to-basic" og økte gradvis vanskelighetsnivået. Dette er jeg veldig takknemlig for. Julie har lært meg alt fra akkordoppbygging (les:veldig viktig etter min mening)

Tusen takk for den gaven du har gitt meg!!!Det føles ut som jeg kan synge hvilken som helst sang nå og jeg synger gamle sanger med ny sangteknikk. Fantastisk å faktisk kunne bruke stemmen sin som et instrument. Det føles slik☺️
