Amazing reproduction of a high class Norse household with the most friendly and passionate owner you could ever hope to meet. I did an expensive cruise excursion and only popped my head on here at the end of the day - yet it was by far the highlight of the stop.Must-do if you're visiting Eidfjord! Plan to spend an hour here.

Marc est très gentil et passionné par l'histoire des Vikings. Nous avons eu la chance de partager un moment en sa compagnie. Je recommande la visite de la reconstitution d'un habitat viking qu'il a faite avec passion.

Het museum is een juweeltje van Mark en Claudia. We kregen met 8 personen een privé rondleiding door Claudia en vooral het bespelen van de Viking-instrumenten is een topper. Doe zo verder!

Don’t miss this work of love of Claudia and Mark. They have painstakingly amassed and built this small museum to introduce visitors to the Viking history of Eidfjord, including the Hæreid burial site. We spent 90 minutes with them this evening and it was such a pleasure.

Besser hätten wir uns diese Ausstellung und Führung nicht wünschen können. Hier erwartet sie Gäste eine liebevolle Sammlung, handgemacht und mit Liebe zum Detail. Nicht nur hören und sehen, sondern auch anfassen und einfach erleben ist hier Programm! Danke, dass ihr uns so toll empfangen habt! Liebe Grüße besonders von unserem Junior, der heute absolut begeistert war, einen echten Wikinger zu sehen!

My husband and I toured here on a recent stop in Eidfjord, and I can't recommend this place enough! It is immersive and so educational! Claudia led our experience, and her enthusiasm for sharing this knowledge with others made the tour that much more exciting. If you visit Eidfjord, you must check this out!Book your visit in advance, especially if you're coming with a cruise ship! Space is limited for each tour, so I would recommend booking early.

Loved it. Me and my friend turned up here at the last minute. The host was very accommodating and friendly. The tour was very enthusiastic and informative. It gave a a different viewpoint on Viking life I had never considered. Really enjoyed it and would recommend to friends and family.

Definitely worth visiting when near Eidfjord! The museum is beautifully decorated with incredible detail, giving you a surprising view on Viking history, narrated by its passionate owners.
