This is a remarkable historical place. The battle of Stiklestad stood on these grounds. They also call it the battle for christianity in Norway.The replica house and area they have built here are amazing and absolutely worth a visit. The last week of June is the time of year when you can come here and experience the true life as a viking and also see the play of the historical battle that took place in 1030 a.d.

An underrated gem boasting authentic Viking architecture, meticulously preserved by archaeologists! Be sure to engage with the guides, many of whom are archaeologists. I particularly recommend the guide from Lofoten, who brings the past to life with his captivating stories. Highly recommended for a unique and informative experience!

Her får du undervisning om hvordan vikingene utviklet og laget ting i jern og stål. Det er skuespillere som har laget et fint stykke for barn. Gris og sau får du også klappe på. Neste gang vi er her skal hele området undersøkes for det var mye vi ikke rakk å få være med på.

Great place to visit! In One of the cabins is possible to stay next to the main house. This little village is beside the field where was the battle of stiklestad in 1030 .. was the end of the viking era in Norway.

Authentic Viking long house and medieval farm house beautifully situated close to the museum. For pilgrims this is also a place to spend the night in authentic sleeping bunks.

Ingen andre ord en at dette er en av fineste plassene i verden! Selve plassen,kommunen,landskapet og ikke minst Viking gården! Det må bare oppleves både for store å små.

Grei plass med mye historie fra tilbake til viking tiden og med litt forskjellige bygninger, alt fra viking tiden frem til nyere tid.Helt greit å gå en gang, men ikke en plass jeg ville tatt flere turer til.Nice place with a lot of history dating back to the viking age, with different buildings dating back to the viking age and some other buildings from recent times.It's a nice place to do a first time hike, but this is not a place i would personally visit many times.

A stunningly accurate and detailed representation of a long house and other buildings from pre-Christian viking times. All of the buildings were constructed and carved by traditional methods by hand. Absolutely stop in to check it out!
