I'm always wary that everything is so automated these days. I preferred when an agent walked through the car with you and you marked down damages together.... I took very thorough pictures and video when picking my car up because I know how it goes. Had the car for 5 days. Was extremely careful and took after pictures too. I took thorough pictures and video again. Sixt is the only car rental that doesn't have a desk in the garage , you have to go back inside the terminal to turn everything in. Because of this, I asked the rep when I turned in the keys TWICE if someone could walk through the car return with me. I like when they give me a receipt of deposit back then and there. Lo and behold , they couldn't. This isn't how we do things here". Oh great

Do not rent from this Sixt, they will try to pin wear and tear as damage on you. They claimed something similar to paint (most likely wear and tear) coming off as damage on a Yaris I rented. You can clearly see how suspicious their claim is just based on the picture of the so called damage - you can’t even see the so called ‘damage’ in the picture clearly. Go for a different company.I had a similar incident with Sixt in Munich. They did the same exact thing - I’m starting to wonder if Sixt just charges their employees for any unreported or missed damages and the employees are forced and pressurized to report even wear and tear as damage so that they do not have to have their pay cut or salary reduced.Malicious practices.

I order a compact car, BMW 2 series, but when I arrived this one was gone. The other car that was in the same class the BMW I did order was also gone on time of pick up. Then they told me I could choose another car for the same price that was availble, the choice they did give me was an Volvo XC90 T8 or an Mercedes-Benz GLC, I did go for the Volvo XC90 for my stay of 4 days and I loved it! Thank you Sixt Bergen!

I recently rented an EV from here for a week. I would say it was a positive experience compared to other companies I have used. Sixt seems to have longer opening hours than others so I was not reliant on a machine to pick up the car. The check in clerk was friendly and knew what he was doing. He offered us a choice of a couple of vehicles and was able to advise us on their expected range. In the end we went for a BMW iX1 which was in immaculate condition and an absolute joy to drive for the week.As has been mentioned elsewhere there are no onsite people to check the car out or in. I would strongly advise (as whenever you hire a car from whomever) spend 30 seconds taking pictures (especially of the wheels) when you take it out and repeat when you take it in. Sixt did email us after to say they thought there was damage and would follow up. However they also then followed up to say it was an error and it was fine. Either way I had the pictures to show if there was any.

I don´t recommed this rental company. After rental I should repay repairing some scratches on rim. I haven´t had knowledge of doing this, i was driven out of town. But ok, i had full insurance. Second thing was wrong information by check-in about service prepaid fuel. Only thing was said to me, was a price of liter of fuel through their company. After check out they told me that this service price is the same if I bring car with out of fuel or any amounth of fuel. I returned car maybe with half petrol, so I paid more like I thought.

I had a smooth and easy transaction with Sixt(BGO). We rented a car for 5 days. The gentleman who assisted us even upgraded our small car to an SUV. He didn’t force us to buy an insurance although he mentioned that it is better to purchase tire and windshield insurance. I just purchased it cause we’ll be traveling quite far and my co-driver wanted to purchase it so I did.We didn’t encounter any problems returning the car, we just dropped-off the keys. The next day, I received my final bill including the toll fees.I just hope I wont be getting any surprise charges. I did take a video of the car before taking it out the car park and before dropping off the keys.

Renter beware! There are no Sixt employees in the airport garage to complete a walk around. There are only some vague references on the rental agreement about previous damage.After we returned the vehicle, Sixt sent pictures of wear and tear damage they claimed we caused. The email states if you don’t reply in three days that means you accept the claim. Fortunately, we took a video of the car before we drove it and after we returned it. The video clearly shows the damage was already present before we drove it. I sent it to Sixt with a statement that I would dispute any attempt to charge for damages with my credit card company. They have not replied, and so far, they have not charged me.Sixt seems intent upon making money on the back end rather than providing high-quality service. If you rent from them, be sure to document everything. They’re not on your side.

We had a wonderful experience here! The agent (a young guy who's name escaped me) was super friendly and helpful. It was like we had known each other our whole lives. I wanted to upgrade to a BMW X5 for driving through the Fjords, and he was very helpful with making the switch and communicating what the price difference would be. The return was quick and painless as well, and we enjoyed the beautiful car so much. Thanks again for a great experience while in Norway.

Do you call this customer service?We booked a Ford Mustang for an once in a lifetime experience… driving through beautiful Norway with a Mustang. A dream should come true.We requested it and we got a confirmation that they have one Mustang for us and now? We got a Mercedes… why did we got a confirmation if you are not able to provide us one?! Then don’t sent wrong information!I mean if you are booking a Mustang it is not because you want a big car. You want a Mustang!!!!!

They are on the upper level of the airport (departure floor, NOT arrival floor). That was a bit confusing.It was a very pleasant experience (I was slightly worried after seeing so many bad reviews). The staff was very efficient upon collection, not pushy regarding the insurance (I have my own) and they rightly recommended taking photos before taking the car.The car provided was almost brand new and it was prestine (Toyota self charging hybrid compact SUV, very economical engine, without the faff of having to plug it in and the need to download 3 or 4 apps to charge). It seems all their cars are extremely recent, seeing all of them aligned in the car park.The Autopass worked perfectly too (about 80$ for 800km all around the southern part of Norway, including a handful of ferries).The return was very simple too, an employee was already in the car park (I thought it wouldn't be the case as Sixt don't seem to have a booth in the car park). They quickly let me know everything was alright.
