Flåm stasjon

Absolutely beautiful place. The rail trip is well worth it and quite a feat of engineering. The small museum gives a good history into how it was built. The whole fjord is stunning all the way along and the views are amazing.

Flam was the deciding factor on picking which Norwegian fjord cruise to take and didn't disappoint. You are invited to change seats on the return journey so don't worry too much about which side to sit just aim for window seats. Look out for the lady sirens at the return stop at the waterfall. Commentary & little leaflet included.

Picturesque train station, close enough to the port of the village, which is the start point for many boat tours at the beautiful fjords.

Hving a few hrs of staying here, it's a peaceful and small town, having a lot of souvenir shop, and goods are cheaper than big town.

I took the train from Bergen to Flam! It was one of the most scenic journeys i have ever taken. Make sure you figure out which side to sit and always choose a window seat! Its totally worth it. When coming from Bergen towards Flam, for the 1st hour, you have the best scenery on your left hand side. Sit forward facing. Then after Voss, the scenery shifts to the right hand side! Again sit forward facing. The NSB train stops at Myrdal and you have to take the green vintage looking train! Its very scenic on the right side, fwd facing! You will end up clicking loads of pictures! :) The Flam train station is very beautiful. The tourist info center is just a few meters away from the station. I visited Flam towards the last week of June. It was filled with tourists!

Amazing experience! We went up the mountains and the views were just so cool.

Such a beautiful place. Especially in the sunshine. Visited on the Queen Mary 2 liner. Just about fitted in the harbour. Did the Flam railway which was amazing. Fantastic views. Lots of places to eat but be prepared-very expensive! Good shops. All the buildings are attractive. No concrete eyesores.

Amazing place with incredible nature

My friend and I wanted to ride the train to Flåm and bike the other direction to see a different view. We did a lot of research and read that we could take the train to Flåm and then rent bikes to come back to Myrdal. We got to Flåm and we’re told it was too steep to bike back. So we walked from Flåm to Myrdal. 22KM of constant uphill. Absolutely beautiful but it took about 5 hours and then we had to wait for the train in Myrdal for two hours.
