Really Superb, a cozy, stylish, very well kept place with such a great appearance. We really Love this place and its welcoming rooms which show a great craftmanship and Attitude for this historic place. Owners are so nice and friendly, eager to explain the History of their Houses and If one's for sure-we will be Back. Heartly can recommend this great place!

Loved this cute cafe (open 12-17 in the summer). Great spot for a pastry and coffee before a hike. They had a nice-looking assortment of gluten free options too. Friendly staff.

This is a delightful family-run concern. The family have preserved an historic farmhouse. They run the summer cafe downstairs and have a private residence upstairs. They can tell you about the extensive history of the property (back to the 16th century, the year 1572). Our 25 person tour group was served a high tea that was a perfect treat after a hike from the National trails and waterfalls nearby. The coffee was good and hot. The homemade baked goods were tasty, served with sour cream and fresh raspberry preserves, or with margarine and brown cheese. The space was not wheelchair accessible.

The host, Sigurd, was very accommodating and also served a great breakfast in the morning.Everything was clean and tidy and very pretty.Thank you .

We had a wonderful stay at Flatheim.Room: tastefully decorated with wood materials, the bed was so comfortable it was hard to leave it after a good night sleep. The bathroom has all the amenities and the kitchen is well equipped.Food: breakfast had a variety of norwegian cheese (brunost, gamelost(?)), fresh fruits, everything you can think of to start the day energized.We also had dinner three times during our stay - make sure to inform the host 24hr in advance so that they can prepare - we were lucky to have local fish and herbs. Particularly liked the pavlova prepared by the hosts' daughter, who seems to be a pastry star ⭐️I had also notified I could not have any gluten and they have accommodated the request for the bread and all the dishes. Big Thanks for that!Tips: Strongly recommend to book for more than one night to experience life in the norwegian mountains among the sheep and beautiful nature. Note that you can purchase lambskin at an interesting price at the reception desk.
