Just wonderful! I spent the whole day exploring, learning, watching videos, listening to guides. The staff everywhere were super helpful and friendly. The best ever tour guide I have ever had was Tim at the Viking Farm, he gave the most amazing live history lesson and in English he also takes the German tours! From the Nordvegen History Centre to the Viking Farm and St Olav’s Church. I loved it all! ❤️❤️

Dette må betegnes som Norges viktigste historiske senter og sted å avlegge et besøk. Og Riks monometet av samlingen av Norge av Harald hårfagre som gav dette landet vårt navn.

Et fantastisk historisk område med ufattelig mange skjulte historiske skatter. Spør når du er der om å få vite mer så vil guider kunne fortelle om vikinggraver, fjorden som gav Norge sitt navn og mye mye mer

Extremely interesting museum that goes into detail on the history of Norway with a particular emphasis on the Viking period. Staff are very friendly, well informed and most speak English if your Norwegian is poor (or non-existent).Tickets include the main museum, historic church and the nearby reconstruction of a Viking village so well worth the money. Only downside as a foreign tourist was that many of the museum exhibits (but strangely not all) were only in Norwegian, but there was an multilingual audio tour available from the ticket office.

Great place to learn about one of the most important times in Norwegian history. Don't hesitate to talk to the Vikings" living on the Viking Farm. They will tell you great stories and provide stunning backgrounds. Also very much worth visiting when it's raining."

We loved the historical village and church. Well done. Unfortunately, we didn't have the opportunity to go through the museum. But it was a great and scenic walk to the village and back. Loved it! Hopefully will get back sometime in the future to go through the museum. I've heard the festival here (June) is wonderful. We were a week early for the festival.
