Yes, quite original shape of a broken chain" with huge dimensions. Is worth visiting if it is good weather. An extra spot or a bench to worth more attention it will make it perfect. The view in the morning or evening is extra reason to go there. A bit windy always so be careful and take extra clothing with you"

Selve minnesmerke er fint anlagt med spredde benker med utsikt ut mot havet der ein kan sitte å minnes det som hendte vest i havet. Minne tavler med liste over dei omkomne var lett å finne.Det som manglet var kanskje ett informasjon skilt ved sti bort til selve minnesmerke som forklarte om selve ulykken som skjedde på boligplattform en Aleksander Kielland. Noen lignende som er blitt satt om ved Sverd i fjell om salget i Harfsfjord.Annen info:Perkeringsplassen har forøvrig plass til 6 - 7 biler. 280 m fra parkeringsplassen til monumentet ca. 3 min gange. Kan nås ved bruk av rullestol.

Good place for Family or Friends outing. BYOF (Bring your own food). It's a seashore, a memorial and rocky place to hang on. Be ready to pee behind bushes.

A simple" but at the same time fantastic monument telling the story behind the tragedy. Recommend to walk/run to Swords in Rock."

Very nice walk in good weather.I always pay tribute to the hard working people on oil platforms.May memory of whose who perished on Alexander L Keiland platform never be forgotten

Nice hiking trails along the coast with beautiful views of the ocean. Great spot to stop for a few minutes and appreciate the fresh air. Paid parking available. There is a memorial site here commemorating the Alexander Kielland accident.
