The restaurant serves decent Norwegian fare but the best items on the menu are weekly specials. We came to try the Farikal but learned it was only served on Thursday. Nevertheless the food was decent and fairly priced.

A plunge into the past!Wonderful, typical locale.Wonderful and excellent food. I recommend the meatballs, outstanding!The lady is fantastic, nice and welcoming.Feel at home, even if far away.Highly recommend!

Unfortunately would not recommend. It’s a very empty place. We took the daily dish and it was not good, had an old musty taste in the pork. The atmosphere was quite dead and silent, and the place smelled old. The server was nice, but the food quality is really poor.. sad to experience this as we had high expectations and also the restaurant had a long history

Really delicious and well cooked fish (I prefered boiled halibut). The place has a really warm ambience and the waitress was so friendly and kind. Nice Norwegian experience!!

Great experience. The first feeling was a little off when comming inside. It was hard to find especially when you walk by train like looking train with its distinct smell. But after entering second floor, nostalgic, postwar american style dinner met our eyes. Blues playing in background, oldest veteran costumers looking merting our eyes like in old westerns.To the dishes. Excellent. We ordered raindeer chops, boiled beef and fried halibud and for the dessert warm apple cakes. Some reviews state that dishes are terrible but we didnt find it here.The cherry topping was lovely waitress :).

A place the time stopped like 40 to 60 years ago - it was fascinating and a bit sad as well, to be honest. It can be harder to find as you need to go in a hallway and up the stairs. The food price-performance ratio really nice, and they seem to have quite traditional, homey food in offer.We were so sad not to get the fårikål which is only available on Thursdays, and the place could use dusting a bit… but overall a nice experience with friendlier prices than elsewhere around.

We wanted to try out real Norwegian food, and by the reviews here, we thought we would give it a try. The restaurant has two floors, you can get to the second one via the stairs on the left of the entrance. First we were seated at the first floor. It was more like a pub, very dark inside and not a great atmosphere. Upstairs was better! A little outdated but seemed traditional. The food was okay. We had reindeer meatcake and steak of minced meat, which was nice. Too bad the vegetables were from the freezer... Price was okay.

Very nice restaurant offering Norwegian food. The reindeerminced meat cake was quite good. Clean set up and friendly staff. Would recommend this place to someone looking for some authentic Norwegian food at a modest price.

Norsk mat til lave priser !Mer et sted for å ta en øl, men greit nok.Prøvde å få bakt potet uten skinke, det klarte de ikke.Var innom en gang til, men gikk derifra siden betjeningen ikke kunne svare på hvilke deler av maten som inneholder Egg (alergi)Hun kunne heller ikke spørre på kjøkkenet.Det kunne være alt på biff tallerkenen :(
