The only place in Oslo here i Norway where you can actually find the kind of tea you might like - It's a good idea to actually know what you are looking for before coming here. You can also order larger quantities online. Otherwise I am considering this place as a date-place, provided what you order does not require special tastes or a special kind of preparation, because I doubt they will do it correctly. In time, they have improved a lot - they recently updated the locale and switched a couple of employees which means they are learning and evolving as a business. But - remember, Norwegians do not know much about tea. You should manage your expectations at this location at least :)

Splendid service and the food is delicious. Highly recommend the Japanese black tea, and crémant! The staff has extensive knowledge on the tea selection they offer. Would most certainly come back!

Hadde gledet meg veldig til en tur hit,men ble dessverre veldig skuffet. Til sconsene ble det servert pisket krem,og ikke clotted cream som det skal være. Syltetøyet smakte billig,type first price,lyst og med nesten ingen biter. Fikk en kanne med te,der var teen nesten ikke trukket,den var veldig lys og lite smak dessverre, og jeg valgte en sort Earl Grey variant. Vi fikk ikke tilbud om hverken sukker eller melk. Vi fikk clottet cream da vi etterlyste det,men da hentet de et glass i butikken som de serverte oss fra. Trist opplevelse. Skal så lite til for å gjøre det så mye bedre! Her legger jeg ikke igjen penger en gang til. Pluss for fin og rent toalett med duftlys.

The tea shop is pretty and the service was good. The sandwiches were good and so were the little cakes. The scones were definitely very fresh but somehow lacked something. The tables are much too low to eat at and the chairs a a little too high for such low tables.

They have a massive selection of tea. I came in to spend a certain amount but didn't know exactly what I wanted. The guy made some excellent suggestions. I'm very happy with the tea types that I got.

A very nice traditional tea shop in a good location. Leisurely service from pleasant knowledgeable staff. Good range of merchandise to buy.

Ehhh, middling review.It wasn't amazing but wasn't bad either. I've had better afternoon tea elsewhere in Oslo and felt like the chairs were uncomfortable.Small things like all of our tea being served in the same style teapot and the table being extremely low made the whole experience less special.

Hate to give a bad review but when several things are awry...Staff & service:We were met at the door by a staff member, I was filming as we entered and continued a bit as we walked up to the MOS (member of staff). He met us with a straight face, despite our smiles and polite greeting. Perhaps he did not like that I was filming as we walked up to the door, but I did not film him. I let that go.A young MOS took our orders. I wouldn't say she was impolite in the least, but the inexperience was noticeable and at a place like that, it brings down the service just a bit. (I've worked in the restaurant industry since I was 11). I know how it is in the beginning but a place of that caliber makes one expect a certain level of service.Some time after being served, we noticed the same MOS who seated us asking all the patrons how the food was, if they were good, etc...except us. Dare I say we were the only black people there. Not saying it's the reason but one begins to wonder when the exclusion is so obvious. Before we left my date wanted to buy some tea leaves. Again, I was filming, planning my insta ad copy and how I could lift their brand and store. I then asked said MOS if they had an instagram to which he responded in an impudent tone...I don't know. Without so much as looking at me. Don't get me wrong, it's OK to not know every detail about the company you work for. But in the service industry you do more to give your customers answers. How about, I don't know but let me ask a colleague"?I could say more about said MOS' behaviour but I digress.Food and drink:DELICIOUS SCONES!Good tea. I hate a lukewarm pot of tea but this was great. Not scalding hot either.The sandwiches were tasty BUT the bread had formed that slight crust that tends to happen when the sandwiches have been sitting for a while
