Very beautiful glacier close to the main road (if one can called be main - it took me extra 4 hours to get here on the way from Bergen to Lillehammer). Anyway, the views are totally spectacular. Despite the glacier appearing to be close to the car park it’s actually difficult to walk closer to it (and the weather was just dreadful the day I happened to be there). You can’t really see the glacier because the view will be instructed by the rocks, so don’t see a point of suffering to walk through the forest to get closer to it. The place is amazing.

Very impressive and, unsurprisingly, much much colder up there than I imagined, but the glacier is an incredible sight.Set against the mountains and now smaller than in previous years due to lack of rain/snow we were shown how large it used to be. Nevertheless, it is still hugely impressive and blue - apparently due to the lack of oxygen in the ice from the pressure of the ice above.

Denne breen er svært godt synlig fra veien. Det er et flott lite turområde fra parkering og bort til vannet. Du kan møte på lokale dyr. Det er en benk og mulighet for frilling på stranden. Flott skue som bør oppleves! Gode parkeringsmuligheter.

Beautiful glacier and so close to the road! You only have to walk 10min to get there and the path is all even. This is unlike Jostedalsbreen where you have to hike 40min to get there! There is a very nice restaurant with big glass windows overlooking the glacier and the lake - highly underrated and definitely recommended!

We were driving to our next destination when we passed this glacier. We of course didn't let this chance slide and stopped to enjoy this beautiful place.We were able to have a hike next to the glacier which was impressive. Although the weather was lovely, the ice-cold water and cold of the glacier added to the experience!The view that we had was beautiful, every side we went.It's worth the visit for sure!

Just after the tunnel turn left then you will be here, walk 5 minutes to the melting glacier.

You can not get much closer ;) Great place were you can see the glacier coming out of the mountains. Recommendation: Take a walk along the lake and the path, take a big sip of the cristal clear water, enjoy the nature around.

The glacier lies quite high but is visible from the road. A trail starts near the parking spot. Around 45 minutes to the postbox (?) and back, but there's nothing interesting to see, the view from the lake is better.
