Jotunheimen National Park

Fantastic hiking, however might be to challenging for inexperienced people. Been there at least 10-15 times.

Excellent hiking in Joutenheimen NP on our way to Galdhøppingen, the highest mountain in Norway. Beautiful view on the mountains and glaciers.

Awesome national park with great views and hiking trails.

I will be here upto next July 5, within which give you colourful experiences.

The park is beautiful, but do your homework before you go! If you do your research before you go, you'll enjoy it more. I would advise printing or buying a map beforehand. The staff at the visitors' center was not very helpful in directing us to camp sites or popular hikes.The park has a strange system that requires everyone to park at the visitor's center and then ride a bus to the trail head. As Americans, we were baffled and found this so strange, but maybe it's normal in Europe. The buses do not run all the time. We arrived too late to take a bus to a campsite. We were faced with walking miles to a trailhead or finding a rare trailhead with a parking lot.We were there in July and we saw some reindeer in the distance. All of the water features were beautiful and pure.
