The trains themselves are fairly no-frills, clean but not fancy. The views, on the other hard, are nearly impossible to beat. Definitely the train ride highlight of my life so far. Staff are also extremely helpful.

I would give ten stars if possible. We traveled on the Night train in the Pluss Natt category. Businessclass seats on a train are something special. We could sleep, lying flat, lights dimmed to a minimum, undisturbed all the way to Bergen and arrived well rested. (Okay, i had a snack and a coffee at the dining car, that served food and beverages all night.) On the way back we travelled during daytime through one of the most beautiful landscapes. I can understand why this is supposed to be one of the most beautiful train rides in Europe. The trains are punctual, the staff is welcoming and very friendly. All the announcements are at least in two languages, the welcome on the train in six. The fare is very well priced for what you get. Vy offers a service you can hardly find anywhere else.

Très bien, cependant lors du trajet de nuit la lumière reste allumée ce qui rend l'endormissement compliqué.

This train travel can’t be missed. Travel to Oslo from Bergen or vice versa on this scenic train to experience some of the stunning vistas of Norway. This journey is just outstanding. We could see the first showfall and experienced the winter just approaching feel. Its a very comfortable and enjoyable journey and there is a cafe which is well stocked and has good coffee and croissants. You can book a family cabin also.

Eine wunderschöne Bahnstrecke und einzigartige Landschaft, zwischen Oslo und Bergen. Von 0m bis auf ca. 1222m (Finse) und wieder hinunter.Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit.
