The area is serene in the winter while the hotel is closed. But beautiful and a simple hike to see the areas where the Hoth scenes were shot in Empire Strikes Back. Be careful if hiking out without a guide and stick to trail markers.

Beautiful landscape, neat buildings, especially 1222 Hotel with the train car built into the building. It was summer so I didn't get that Hoth Planet from the Empire Strikes Back feel but still cool. :)

Came here to have a good time which I indeed did. Although was surprised by the sudden short-lived blizzard, the view was breathtaking and wasn’t too difficult to walk around.

Stunning landscape views everywhere you go! Totally amazing place, incredible tundra environment. Very good place to trekking and any outdoor activites, but also very demanding if it is going about equipement. Absolutely must seen in Oslo-Bergen journey!
