Lunheim i Geiranger

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately depending on how you look at it) we didn't even have the chance to stay here. This review reflects the service we received during the booking process only when dealing with Ian at reception. On multiple occasions I received messages from Ian threatening to cancel my booking due to an issue with the 'authorization' process, a result of a self-confessed 'serious blunder' by the hosts. I got in touch directly with Ian who assured me that our booking was safe and that 'authorization' would occur some time in April. On the 1st March I received a notification stating that our booking had been cancelled again due to an issue with the 'authorization' process. Ian took no responsibility for this and made it very clear that he could not care less. If you want to book accommodation with 100% security then maybe try somewhere else.

Beautiful place. A spectacles view.. Very nice host. We arrived with a baby. And they served us with a baby bed. Nice and cosy apartment with separated bedrom, Living room/kitchen. And separated toilet/ shower. Perfect if you want to stay up a while After the baby go to sleep.

We stayed last November and the accommodation was fantastic. very friendly host, warm, clean and comfortable rooms. Very good advice about local hikes and things to see and do in the local area. Amazing view from the shared kitchen area. The drive in was also fantastic.

Fantastic views of the Geiranger Fjord and waterfalls.The room was large and cozy and the sitting room was delightful.The kitchen was well stacked with the basic stuff for self catering. It's quiet and peaceful and we had a very pleasant stay.Ian, the owner was very kind and helpful.Definitely a place I'd go back to again. Very highly recommended!

This place is straight out of a fairytale with amazing views of Geirangerfjord. The room was very comfortable and the host was also incredibly nice. I will certainly never forget this stay!

Anything I say is less about this pretty little place. The host is the one of the best people in the whole world. He is very helpful and listen to him carefully when he is giving advice because each and every one of it is really going to help you. He knows things. We had best time talking to him and you will feel like you are home.Now about the place, the place is like a home visually as well. The view from the room is simply breathtaking. We had clouds near our window. You will find a nice shared kitchen. The kitchen is very cleverly divided into parts for each rooms. You see the fjord from the kitchen while cooking or eating. The rooms have bathroom attached and they are the most beautiful rooms you have ever been in. The front yard of the hotel is everything you need in your life. It gives you a full view of the Geiranger fjord. You have an option to sit and grill with the view. Please go out and sit down especially during the sunset.Regarding parking, you can park inside the hotel area, so no issues there.Location wise, the hotel is located at the top, so it will be easy for you if you have a car, else you need to walk around 3 km to go to the closet grocery (Joker) that is in the Geiranger center, which in the end is not that far. But one of the best view points are located very close to the hotel, just at the walking distance. You have few of the best hikes that start near the hotel.

If you like talkative people, this is a great place. Otherwise you should avoid it. The owner just kept on telling tales even when we were unpacking.The bedroom was good and spacious, the kitchen and sitting area were okay. The bathroom was rather small and needed you to go outside and cross a hallway.The WiFi was really weak and kept on disconnecting.All in all a place I wouldn't recommend.

A nice and clean place with a nice view over Geiranger Fjord but the host is kind of crazy and ruined our stay because we used the guesthouse laundry rack.Please find another place if you dont like bad hosts!

Awesome room (stayed at room #1) with an incredible view of Geiranger in the kitchen. Host was very kind and gave us a ton of advice and stories of the surrounding landscape. We had an amazing experience in Geiranger because of this stay and the incredible hospitality. Highly recommend to others and we hope to be back again someday.
