Absolutely THE BEST fishing trip we’ve ever been on. Sigvald is professional- went above and beyond to make sure everyone enjoyed the trip. We caught plenty of fish for lunch, which was prepared for us during our adventure. We can’t wait to come back to Norway to do this again!

I had an amazing fishing trip with Sigvald. Caught a big Ling and we made a stop for lunch on a little Island to eat the caught fish and craps.

I can't say enough how happy I was after completing this half day fishing adventure. Booking was a breeze and completed via email. All of my questions were promptly answered. It was clear they wanted to make sure I had the right expectations and would be sure to deliver the best possible service. The captain, Nikolai, contact me the day before to see if we could move the start time back a bit to accommodate the weather. That timing change delivered gorgeous sunshine and moderate winds despite the normally rainy Bergen weather. Don't get me wrong, fishing in some light rain would have been plenty fun and no problem at all given the perfect fishing suits we were provided, but the sunshine made for an even better day.You can't control the weather and sometimes you can't 100% control the fishing. After all, it's called fishing not catching. In our half day we didn't catch as much as we hoped, but we did catch enough Mackerel for a meal. The important thing is we had a great time taking in the natural beauty of the area and Nikolai's local knowledge was more than enough to make the trip memorable.Something that we did not expect to enjoy as much as we did was the crabbing. We pulled 6 pots on 2 separate strings, providing more than enough Stone Crab claws for a mind-blowing dinner. The Mackerel was delicious and cooked to perfection, but the Stone Crab claws stole the show. Nikolai delivered a charming post fishing meal that was truly a one of a kind experience. My 18 year old son and I agreed that it was among the best seafood meals we had ever eaten. No frills, just eating what we caught, served out in nature, without any unnecessary fuss. It felt like a true normal Norwegian fishing day, which is exactly what we had hoped for.When you consider that Bergen Fishing Adventure provided transportation to and from our hotel, fished with us for a half day, and cooked us a 5 star seafood dinner that would have cost hundreds of dollars in the United States, the total package was an absolute bargain. So if you are thinking about it, just pull the trigger and book your adventure. If Nikolai is available, you won't go wrong with him as your captain.
