Alexander Kielland statue

Escultura en bronce dedicada a uno de los personajes noruegos mas famosos del siglo XIX nacido en esta localidad en 1849. Novelista, ensayista, empresario y político llegando en 1891 a ser alcalde de su ciudad natal y en 1902, gobernador de More og Romsdal.

The statue of Alexander Kielland is a landmark in Stavanger. He was an author, newspaper publisher and mayor of Stavanger and he has influenced Norway and Stavanger during his time. The statue has been moved around a bit but it seems to always have been around the city square (Torget). The location now is on the upper part of Torget where he has a great view of the city square and the harbor.
