Unprofessional and disorganized. We hired Bull Legal to complete a power of attorney and will/testament in 2021. In our consultation we were assured our matter was fairly simple, even though some international assets were involved. We communicated our budget for our project, and set a threshold for when we would be notified when our project budget reached a certain amount, both of which the attorney acknowledged. After receiving a draft document from the attorney, I sent a comprehensive email with feedback/questions, which went unanswered for 5 months. I then received a faktura for double the amount of our stated budget range, without ever being notified we had reached/passed our threshold amount. Numerous additional attorneys were consulted on our case without our notification/approval. We ended up with a draft power of attorney, some general answers about Norwegian asset division, and nothing close to a draft will/testament for a cost far above our stated budget. After working in US law firms for a decade, it is surprising to see how Norwegian law firms are not held more accountable to their client's interests.

We're a U.S.-based law firm. We reached out to this firm to assist in structuring our client's U.S. real estate holdings. They aggressively questioned the tax motivation and acted more like tax authorities than tax advocates. Clients are allowed to structure their business affairs in a tax-efficient manner. If you're looking for tax planning, go to another firm. They set our schedule back by almost two weeks. Very unprofessional.
