Wit starteten mit der Havila Capella von Bergen über Tronsheim Tromsö...nach Kirkenes.Ein tolles Schiff mit neuester Hybridtechnik. Die Crew war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. An Bord gab es kein Buffet..Es wurde am Tisch vorzügliche Speisen serviert.Auf dieser Reise tauchte ich in die Natur ein. Wunderbare Küstenabschnitte im satten Grün, schöne kleine/mittlere Häfen die angelaufen wurden. Und das Wasser der Fjorde..Eiswürfelblau und klar.Ein wunderschönes, unvergessliches

Sehr geschmackvolle und praktische Kabinen, viele verschiedene Aufenthaltsmöglichkeiten, gutes Essen, freundliches, unkompliziertes und aufmerksames Personal, Ausflüge meistens gut, aber zeitlich straff organisiert. Sehr angenehm: keine Buffets (!!), kein Shopping/Entertainment, kein Kreuzfahrt-All-Inclusive-Publikum. Das Beste: wenig CO2-Emissionen. Wir schätzen den Wert (nach einigen Recherchen) auf ca. 22 kg CO2-Äquivalent pro Rundreise und Person (für: LNG-Verbrauch und -beschaffung, Strom, Batterieherstellung, Personalflüge)

Booked a Hurtigruten trip from Bergen to Kirkeness and back with them and the original journey for the 9th of January got cancelled by them. That meant everything had to be rebooked for the 7th of January with the promise of Havila (got it in writing by email) for reimbursement of the cost this would take. Several things in the ship went a bit wrong as well including the spas not working for half the journey, the doors to the saunas not opening the whole journey, dietery requirements being not taken into account etc. Then as well they charged me right away the money I've spent on the ship while I'm still waiting for my refund for the costs of the rebooking. Its now 1.5 months and several promises of payment later and I'm still waiting for my money. I'm also annoyed because it always takes weeks before there is an answer to any emails. After contacting them several times I finally got my money back but a lot of the other things which went wrong where never addressed. Ignoring these points, the Hurtigruten trip itself was stunning and worth while!

Very disappointing. Our cruise - planned mid July - has just been cancelled only 20 days prior to departure without any further explanation and no compensation. For us it was part of a bigger trip with everything else booked before and after the cruise. With such short notice it is impossible to find a good fallback plan, and it will cost us extra money. I don't think this would have happened with Hurtigruten...

We had a marvellous time on the south bound Kirkenes to Bergen voyage. So many wonderful things. Even the amount of grey Norwegian cloud couldn't dampen our mood.The views were spectacular!The boat was built in 2021, so it's very new. It's like a very decent hotel on board. And the food is magnificent.The staff are friendly and approachable. This includes the check in staff, waiters and housekeeping.The only downside - when I went at least - was that our preferred excursions were cancelled due to low numbers. But the upside was that there was plenty of space on board to wander around and take pictures. We turn negatives into a positive.As others have noted, this is not a cruise". It's a working ferry visiting 33 ports. But if you want to have great views

Wir reisten im April von Bergen nach Kirkenes und zurück. Weil die Havila Polaris noch nicht im Einsatz ist, konnten wir unsere Schiffsreise ohne Probleme um zwei Tage vorverschieben.Es war Genuss pur: Viel Natur, nette Mitreisende, tolles Personal. Bis auf eine Ausnahme war die Excursion-Crew super und angenehm.Und: Ruhe, Ruhe, Ruhe. Wir konnten uns erholen und runterfahren. Stress ade.Achtung: Es ist KEINE Kreuzfahrt. Kino und Shopping gibt es nicht, man muss sich selbst aushalten können. ;-) Und genau das wollten wir schliesslich.Wir kommen gerne wieder. :-)

You really need to research and set your expectations before boarding the ship. This is not your standard cruise. It is a luxury ferry serving the people of Norway. We understood there were no shows or casinos, but our goal was to learn about the Norwegian culture and to see the northern lights. We did both.The ship was brand new and beautiful; the crew friendly and helpful.There was at least one stop each day at a port that was long enough to be able to take an excursion or explore on your own. We mainly explored the towns on our own, but we did take one excursion that was reasonably priced ( as compared to major cruise line excursions).Food was available in the cafe until 10 pm each night, I don't know how late the bar was open as it is not a venue we frequent.There was a lecture offered each day on various topics (culture, glaciers, fjords, etc) as well as information about the towns we were visiting and excursions that were available.We made many friends and spent a lot of time on the observation deck 9, watching the scenery, visiting with new friends, reading or playing cards.The northern lights were spectacular!Our room was beautiful and even had heated floors in the bathroom. The balcony was huge, and even in the winter, we found ourselves using it often.We loved our cruise on the Havila Capella and would highly recommend it.
