Unten am Kai lag das Kreuzfahrtschiff. Ich spazierte durch das malerische alte Viertel Gamle Stavanger. Zuletzt nahm ich einen den Berg hinaufführenden Weg. Dort traf ich auf mehrere bronzene Skulpturen, einen Zeitungsjungen und einen Mann mit einem von Ponys gezogenen Wagen. Erst zu Hause las ich, dass sie an Lars Hovland Lende (1882 - 1971) erinnern, einen Mann, der eine Zeitung herausgab und Ponys hielt, um Kinder darauf reiten zu lassen. Schön, dass die Stadt Stavanger ihren einst beliebten Mitbürger auf diese Weise ehrt.

A very cozy and small park with interesting statuary. Very near a mall called Herbarium.Also right at the entrance to gamle Stavanger.This place is a good place to stop for a breath in the summer underneath the cooling foliage.A few amusements will keep the kids busy for a short Pittston on the way the center or wherever you're going in the area.Also one of the few places you can eat outside without being overrun by seagulls.Well worth stopping for a breath, small as it is.The steep old style stone stairs will take you down to the center
