What an awesome hotel! got a nice view and the hotel felt private/intimate. The staffs were also nice. Breakfast should be improved more! Also, a bit far if you wanna go somewhere else, depended on the ferries.

We stayed at this charming family-owned hotel in Norway and absolutely loved everything about it, from the hospitable owners and staff to the stunning views we couldn’t get enough of to the delicious food (especially the ecological apple cake)! We had such a perfect mix of tranquility/relaxation and adventure after climbing the mountains nearby and finding hidden cabins with the best views. We even climbed through the snow and met friendly people along the way. Apart from the lovely family who owns this hotel, Ruben & Sarah were very professional and provided us with great recommendations for sight-seeing and activities.

Great location right off of the Ferry. It is a quick 10 minute drive into town. The free breakfast buffet is well worth the stay. Enjoy a big selection of breads, jam, eggs, meat over looking the Fjords. The hotel staff is very friendly and would happily stay here again.

Beautiful hotel with an incredible staff and delicious breakfast and dinner services! I love the location near the ferries and the fjord views are like 360 around the hotel. Cool sunroom outside for fjord views as well!

Amazing hotel!!! My husband and I had such a wonderful time staying here. We were so sad to leave!! Seriously one of the best places we have stayed. It was so relaxing with its beautiful views, the food, and some of the best trout I’ve ever had! To top it all off, the staff were so friendly! We loved Norway! Thank you for making our trip so memorable

Great food for dinner, excellent soups and perfect fish dish. We also liked the concept of not wasting food for breakfast (order ahead instead of buffet spread). Terrific views, friendly and helpful staff. Good value for money stay.

Good hotel with amazing view! LIKES: Even so it was the most expensive pitstop ;y far on our road trip, we got the best room (we believe). Huge, separate living room with kitchen and even terrace plus panorama windows in all rooms. Staff was friendly, common area comfortable and generous. The greenhouse with view is as amazing and gives everyone the opportunity to enjoy the view. DISLIKES: Breakfast and dinner is served rather late for our taste (family with toddler) - 7:30 and 19:00 respectively. We weren't the only ones to start at 7:30 breakfast, however, it took 45min (!) until bacon and scrambled eggs appeared. Coffee was weak and bread rather dry too. Generally the hotel is top notch, but some small details were off ruining the perfect stay.

Wonderful views of the fjord. Hospitable and friendly staff. Clean and elegant rooms. I recommend that you make this hotel your home base" and you spend at least three days exploring the area. Many trails to hike close by. Would love to come again!"

Love it here.Was originally going to stay at Kviknes hotel in Balestrand. So glad we found this gem instead.Rooms are spacious, modern. The BEST VIEWS with massive windows. The hotel is on a peninsula so they have fjord views on both sides. Best feature is that the beds can be raised to stare out and enjoy the view from bed (evening photo attached).Bathrooms are also spacious and have counter space and towel space (thank goodness)!Tons of cute common spaces, couches, fireplaces, including a garden room (photographed) but also two cozy couch areas on the main floor. Lots of nooks and places to sit capitalizing on the great views inside and outside. We didn’t want to leave!Contemporary food. Family-run so sometimes seemed short staffed but they’re the nicest people ever! 10 minute drive to Balestrand. All In all, great value.
