Ole Bull Hotel & Apartments

This could have been so good - nice apartment and could have been really useful location and self-catering - but we had to check out after one night because there was building work going on that started very early the first morning of our stay - initial preparation noises at 6am then drilling and noise at 7am just above and around our room. There were some notices up in the hotel about some work on the balcony, but this was the first we knew - nothing on Expedia who we used to book it. Couldn't get a refund for the night stayed which was disappointing. Really should be specified. Once the work is complete, can see it being a good place to stay but for now please check first.

The hotel is located at the heart of the city and the staff is quite helpful and cheerful. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Bergen. The fact that most of the rooms are like apartments with a kitchen and a lounge is amazing!The only issues I noticed was with the shower cube and the key card. Shower cube felt quite fragile and I was told that the key card should not be kept near a phone or other electronics.

Leiligheten var fin den og beliggenheten fantastisk. Men.. gangen og rommet luktet surt og luktet ikke reint i det heletatt. Inne på soverommet der det var et lite rom til oppbevaring av diverse bagasje osv.. Fant vi svart mugg i ventilen, og det var ikke bare litt.. Vi hadde også et problem med doen og krana på kjøkkenet var helt løs. Dette sa vi sefølgelig i fra om og de sa de skulle fikse det. Når vi kom tilbake var doen og vasken foreløbig fikset. Muggen var også borte (ser det ut som) det er forstatt litt synlige merker på ventilen og det har trolig bare vasket fort over på utsiden. Så vi måtte forsette å ha døren lukket og vinduet oppe. Obs! Bildet er ganske utydelig

Top score! Excellent location in the center of town. Very nice and large rooms and a helpful staff.

Shower and sofa was broken, all other was fine. Price for this location is very good. Paid 130€ for one night. Near apartments parking costs 21€/night.

Stayed here for 3 nights. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We chose a bigger apartment which was well equipped with everything you need for a self catering visit. Including a dishwasher! Appliances were good quality and beds comfortable.Loved the location. Perfect for a city break.Due to the central location you definitely need to bring ear plugs. There are builders working on the inside of the building and they start work before 8am! The noise echoes round the enclosed square and I had to close the windows as it was so loud in the back bedroom.That said, I would definitely stay here again when visiting in the future.

Great location close east walking to Central areas. Basic accommodation at a decent price, shower cubical barely accessible due to sink unit and hot water tank position. Some upgrade works going on at time of our stay so work noise through the day was inevitable. Would stay again tho no problem.

I am giving 5 stars because this place can be suitable for anyone.We were staying with two infants and a kid and I must mention that the location is superb. Infact every main attraction is just 3-4 minutes away e.g If you want to visit fish market or want to take a rødne ferry tour or if you want to take funicular to Fløibanen. Central station and the shopping centrum is at 7 minutes of walk.You can find plenty of food options like mcdonalds, subway , kebab and pizza restaurant in the vicinity.We didn’t bring car but parking is available nearby.Coming to the apartment, I must say that it is newly renovated, clean and big. The whole building is in the process of renovation but we didnt get disturb by any work process.Staff is super friendly and responsive. I requested for an extra fan and pillows and got delivered immediately. Even after reception time you can call on their number and get help. I had to ping because one of my baby got sick so I got some contact numbers for the hospital and the guy offered me to call an ambulance but it wasn’t needed.The only thing that can be improved in the room is lighting in the tv lounge. May be you can get extra lamp if needed but we didn’t bother as it wasn’t critical.Room service came for the trash collection and gave us dishwasher tablets so we can do the dishes.

Sentralt hotell, god leilighet å bo i. Sengene litt ukomfortable (da spesielt sovesofaen), toalett puttet inn mellom dodør og vasken som gjorde det litt vel utfordrende trangt noen ganger for selv en gjennomsnittlig norsk mann som meg selv. Vi kommer nok tilbake da helhetsinntrykket var bra.
