Nice visitor center. Clean and informative. Great glacier view

Så spektakulært! Å se breen på nært hold - dog i trygg avstand. Guidet tour med Marte var helt klart verdt det. Så kunnskapsrik! Spennende info allerede fra parkeringsplassen. At det er så mye å vite om alt som rører seg i en dal. Og at en isbre er en sakte rennende elv.. Annerledes og artig opplevelse.Etterpå dro vi ned til Breheimsentret og spiste en dig lunsj. Altså.. det bakverket og lokalt utvalg av godbiter :D Anbefaler et besøk til Breheimsentret og en titt på breen!

Booking the 2.5 hrs guided tour to the glacier is a must. Our guide was super friendly and both very knowledgeable and passionate. Tour includes a short boat trip around the lake and a trek to the foot of the glacier. A very enjoyable experience!

We booked the 2,5h Glacier View Point Tour with Märtha that also included a little boat cruise with Sigrid and we absolutely enjoyed it! Märtha did a great job in explaining us the history of the glacier and the whole valley around. She showed us amazing details on the way that we wouldn’t even have noticed without a guide.Also she pointed out how crucial it is for your own safety to respect the warning signs and road blocks towards the glacier water. People already got washed away by a sudden floodwave because they were standing too close to the water. Reason was a piece of the glacier that broke off, blocked the water for a while and then it would suddenly break through with enormous power.So if you want to experience the beauty of the glacier do yourself a favor and do it with a guide.That is safer and so much more fun!

Beautiful view and a nicely set up exhibition about the national park and the glacier. Really enjoyed coming here together with my parents. Would 100% recommend enjoying a piece of delicious carrot cake there too!

The glacier has retreated so much, sadly due to global warming.

Many interesting exhibits about the history of the glacier and local area. All plaques are in Norwegian, English and German. Pretty quiet, not busy. The film was pretty, but a bit lacking, as it was basically a slideshow of pictures set to music. Unfortunately, Breheimsenteret pales in comparison to what's on offer at the other glacier museum in Boyabreen/Fjærland. Also, staff won't mention that there is a toll road when they say you can drive closer to the glacier.

Very helpful staff, a great view, and as I read in other comments and can agree: good pizzaWe did not visit the exhibition, as we are to excited to go see the glacier. The sneak peak from the stairs to the restrooms looks promising.
