Amazing fishing trip; Captain Tor is an amazing guide; made the trip fun / interesting for our young children (who caught a bunch of fish), and shared a bunch of great stories on the history of Balestrand. Would highly recommend!

Our family had a great trip with Captain Tor. Very welcoming, an excellent host, fun, and easy-going.We caught (and kept) plenty of fish and heard about the wonderful history of Balestrand.

We rented bikes to ride to the other side of the fjord (30 minutes). Here you can make another hike and/or visit an enamel workshop from Rolf and Solveig Haukaas. They make very beautiful jewelry and art. Worth the visit. The service at the bike rental from Tor was very friendly and the bikes are in excellent condition.

Magnifique expérience, nous étions très bien équipés( équipement type bottes de pluie et combinaisons fournies).Nous étions avec le capitaine tor qui était un excellent guide, un vrai viking né à Balestrand!Pêche , histoires locales, histoire de la Norvège, chants vikings, explications sur la biodiversité.Nous recommandons à mille pour cent!!Nous avons adoré !!

Had a great time with Tor a few days ago and learned a lot about the area. Caught some nice “fjord chicken” too. Would highly recommend taking a trip with him. The part of the trip on Fjærlandsfjorden was also particularly impressive and memorable. Our dog also slept well on the boat for the whole trip!

Awesome time in the fjords in beautiful Balestrand. Captain Tor was an excellent guide. Caught fish and sea creatures, beautiful sightseeing, waterfalls, stories, history, and song. The kids and grandparents loved it all. We want to go back!!

Had a great morning with Captain Tor on the happy wife - life tour. Growing up here and having lived his life on the fjord’s he has unique insights and stories about the farms, history of the town the ecology of the fjord’s and so much more. And yes , I did catch fish. We fed one to Larry the seagull who follows Captain Tor knowing he will eventually get a treat. The up close view of life along the fjord was great. Something you can’t see from many 100’s of meters away on a fast ferry.
