Stunning road. Drove it and then the next day cycled it on my road bike. Smooth tarmac, quiet traffic and incredible views. Perfect cycling and driving pass that’s up there with the best.

The official name here is Fantesteinen, at 1,434 metres, this is the highest point of the whole Fv55 Sognefjellet National Tourist Route. Just 400 meters away from the Sognefjellshytta Ski Centre, here is also the perfect place for the highland road photos. Unfortunately it was raining with strong winds when we were here in September, we could not go for a stroll around the lake Fantesteinenvatnet. The parking here is small, can accommodate only about 4 cars. No toilet facilities here.
